Delete your account and data

You can delete your PaintBook account and everything in it yourself, from inside the app. You do not need to contact us.
In the app
- Open Settings The Settings tab is in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap “Delete Account & Data” It is under the Data heading.
- Confirm, then re-enter your password We ask you to sign in again so nobody else can delete your records from an unlocked phone.
What is deleted
Permanently, and immediately:
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Every property, room and finish record
- Every photo, label image and receipt you uploaded, including thumbnails
- Your preferences and Smart Scan usage counters
- Your subscription entitlement record and its store transaction mapping
- Everything cached on your device
This cannot be undone. There is no recovery period and no backup we can restore from. If you want to keep your finish records, save them before you delete. With PaintBook Pro, export each property as a Home Finish Passport PDF (Passport tab → choose a property → Generate PDF). On the free plan, ask us for a copy through the support page.
What is not deleted
- Your subscription is not cancelled. Billing is handled by Google Play, not by us. Cancel it separately at Google Play → Subscriptions, or you will keep being charged.
- Anonymous crash and usage statistics. These carry no personal information and are not linked back to you, so they cannot be picked out and removed.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records needed for tax or accounting. These are kept only as long as the law requires and are not used for anything else.
If you cannot use the app
If you have lost access to your device or cannot sign in, contact us from the support page using the email address on the account. We will verify ownership and delete it for you, normally within 30 days.
